Despite the rise of digital technologies, regular basic education students often show limitations in their oral English expression due to traditional teaching methods and the lack of authentic practice environments, with the influence of critical literacy in Artificial Intelligence (AI) on this skill still being overlooked. The research aimed to establish the relationship between generative artificial intelligence literacy and oral English expression in regular basic education students. A non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, quantitative design was chosen, and two structured questionnaires were administered thru the survey technique to collect data from a sample of 210 students. The findings revealed that 61.8% of the students have a low level of literacy in generative artificial intelligence and 28.1% have a medium level of development in oral expression in the English language. Additionally, a high positive correlation between both variables was evidenced (r=0.640; p=0.000). It is concluded that literacy in generative AI maintains a high positive and significant correlation with oral expression in the English language, therefore its didactic and pedagogical integration contributes to the strengthening of communicative competencies thru autonomous, critical, interactive, and contextualized practices.
