Multiple Intelligences of the Communicator

The present study deals with the application of Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences model in the training of communicators, taking as a reference the scientific article Multiple Intelligences at the University, published in 2022 by the journal of the School of Educational Sciences of the National University of Rosario. The research aims to evaluate the development of multiple intelligences and establish the fundamental requirements, according to experts, to strengthen the professional profile of the communicator. It responds to the significant lack of knowledge of the MI model on the part of students and the need to integrate it into educational training with a view to the occupational field. The qualitative-quantitative approach is adopted, using bibliographic, descriptive-explanatory and field research methods with interviews and surveys to collect statistical and argumentative data on the phenomenon. The analysis reveals a lack of knowledge of the concept of multiple intelligences among communicators in training in 50% and shows that the most developed intelligences are linguistic 14.51%, spatial 14.35%, interpersonal 13.62%, intrapersonal 13.45% and naturalistic 13.45%. It is concluded that communicators should develop more than one intelligence to enhance their academic performance and professional success; furthermore, greater integration of the multiple intelligences evaluated in communication educational programs is suggested.
