Reporte de sostenibilidad de universidades: Una revisión bibliométrica y literaria de la base de SCOPUS

Resumen

Las universidades contribuyen e informan sobre sus contribuciones al desarrollo sostenible; sin embargo, estas acciones evidencian la ausencia de estrategias, gestión, y control de sus objetivos, lo que destaca la necesidad de políticas de gobernanza más robustas y la implementación de estándares internacionales. El objetivo de esta investigación es realizar una revisión bibliométrica y de literatura para analizar el origen, contenido y contribuciones de las publicaciones sobre reportes de sostenibilidad en universidades disponibles en la base de datos SCOPUS, contribuyendo al desarrollo teórico de este campo. El estudio aplicó un enfoque cuantitativo descriptivo para examinar la evolución y procedencia de los artículos, complementado con un análisis cualitativo de contenido de palabras clave, enfoques teóricos y aportaciones académicas. Los resultados evidencian un crecimiento no sostenido de las publicaciones, principalmente de autores de universidades europeas. Predominan los estudios cuantitativos y descriptivos, enfocados en el análisis de reportes elaborados según los estándares de la Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) y fundamentados principalmente en la teoría de los stakeholders. Se concluye que existe una brecha significativa en la investigación sobre la sostenibilidad en universidades, particularmente en países en desarrollo. Finalmente, se proponen recomendaciones para fortalecer las contribuciones de las universidades hacia el desarrollo sostenible.
